UAB FNP Admission Essay Question

Hi! I decided to apply to UAB's FNP program for Spring 2013. I am in the middle of my application and see that there is two areas for MSN students to submit an essay. The Plans and Aspirations essay as well as the MSN Supplemental essay. Am I correct in that we write 2 essays? Thanks. I can't get anyone on the phone at UAB...ugh

I'm applying for a different np program at uab and I was under the impression that u just wrote the msn supplemental essay.

I am one of the folks who applied for Fall 2012 and got a letter saying they had too many highly qualified applicants and that I could return a form asking them to keep my application open for spring 2013. They also said in the form letter to submit a revised essay. Last semester, they only asked for one and wanted you to skip the general grad student essay in the application system.

They may have changed it in an attempt to make the selection process easier. I'll have to check their site.

I am wondering what the magic element of their application essay is. If anyone knows what the profs at UAB really like in the essays, please let us all know! thanks.

I am currently enrolled at UAB. The first thing they look at is that you can follow directions and guidelines. Write what they want you to write about. They also look for people who write on a graduate level, meaning no spelling or grammatical errors.
