Uab 2022 BSN

Is anybody applying to the Uab BSN nursing program for Spring 2022 ? 

I would love to know some of what they look for ,GPA's , Volunteer work, and anything else ?

I am! I’m applying for both the AMNP and BSN for Spring 2022. My GPA isn’t the best as I was miserable in my first degree, but still meet the min requirement. I have volunteer experience working in the ER while in HS. I also recently worked at a covid vaccination clinic and just got hired as a tech in a hospital. Apparently in the application you have to write an essay stating why you want to be a nurse. I’ve also heard that it is easier to get accepted in the Spring than in the fall as there are less applicants. 

Hey good I’m glad somebody on here is applying to Spring to I don’t have any health experience I think Ima try to volunteer at a hospital or something and I heard that health experience is not really required because of COVID-19. And I heard that to I hope it’s true.

I hope that is true as well! I don’t think it’s required anyways, but just an application booster! The application was supposed to open today. The advisor said that it will be posted on the website and that I wouldn’t have to get it through her. Did you receive the same info? I don’t see it on the website as of now, but hopefully it will be there at some point today. 

For the BSN program that application was sent out on Friday, July 30th you may wanna contact your advisor. But with the AMNP program that application may be posted online, I'm not sure about that program.

Hmm I actually emailed my advisor on Thursday (July 29) and haven’t received a response. I haven’t been sent the application either. So I’m not sure what that means. I have decided to only apply to the BSN and not the AMNP. 

Who is your advisor? and are you a transfer student?

Bumpus. I'm a 2nd degree student. I attended UAB, then transferred to UAH where I graduated in December. So returning/2nd degree. Are you a native student? Maybe native students just received the app sooner?

No, I transferred to Uab in January and Jessica is also my advisor as well too. She sometimes takes a while to respond maybe try emailing [email protected].
