Have you guys heard anything about scholarships? Like how likely we are to get them?

Congrats! I am applying for Fall 2018. Any application advice? I have a few retakes and a GPA that's a bit below what I've seen as "competitive". I'm so afraid of not having a shot at getting in!
I can only speak for myself, and I have a 4.0 with no retakes. But I have several friends that got in for this semester with GPAs lower than a 3.0.

If anyone is still active on this-I am considering applying for Spring 2019, I just want to know a little about the application process. Also my gpa right now is a 3.14 so would I even have a chance of getting in?

Hey everyone! I was admitted for the fall semester and I wondered if y'all had any helpful advice for classes, finances, etc after your first semester! Any and all advice! I hope y'all had a great first semester!
Study! If you work, take the first week of class off. Read only if that's how you study (for lecture) and read for lab. Get a planner!! You will probably have less money to be honest. But you can work a little if you spend your time wisely. Overall, keep up with deadlines. A lot of your points in lab will be all or nothing for assignments, so do them absolutely correct. You will be fine if you spend the time on it and try your best!

Hi!! Im starting in Fall 2018. I was wondering if anyone could give advice on books? For first semester we need fundamentals of nursing taylor 8th, clinical nursing skills 4th ed Lynn, Henke's Med Math 8th ed, Health Assessment 6th ed Weber, Community and public health nursing 9th ed, and Essentials of pathophysiology 4th ed..... Are all of these needed? Any that you never used? Did you find any cheap versions? Can the older version (therefore much cheaper) be used?? Thanks :)
I don't read the book to learn the material. So for most classes, I didn't use the book. You need the fundamentals book but you should be able to find it used. We didn't have the med math book, so I don't know if you need it. The patho book is needed for quizzes but you can get it used. Health assessment was literally not opened. I would recommend looking on amazon and textbookrush.com for any that you want to get!
Thank you so much!!! Also their list gives us the "coursepoint" version of books.. which is basically an expensive online ebook with quizzes and such. Did you guys need the coursepoint ever? Like were taking the quizzes required? Otherwise i think im just going to get a used hardcopy of the books which would be MUCH cheaper lol
Unfortunately they make you have coursepoint. I'm sorry!
