As weird as this is, there is a state university here that requires two years of foreign language and a history class as a pre req to their nursing program. It's the only one I know of in our entire state as the rest don't require seein as those classes aren't really nursin related. Some programs are weird I guess.

My daughters BSN program has all of these classes. She got accepted out of high school so she only had to do the SAT I hadn't heard of the clep test.

Ohhhh. I misunderstood. I hadn't heard of a CLEP until this forum. From my understanding it is taking an exam that shows knowledge proficiency in a course in order to not have to take that course.

Yup...my daughter knew all about it...it is on the "college board" site where they do most of their applying now when in high school.

Can I brag a moment? My daughter made Deans list! GPA 3.97 I am so proud!

Now that's an accomplishment!!

I would imagine if you grew up in the US and learned history in high school, you could just take this test and pass.

I passed the CLEP for sociology by spending one weekend reading the CLEP book for that subject. If you are worried, I would look for the history version of that book and you should be fine.
