I know I'm too excited but I was just searching Hotjobs.com and saw quite a few LVN positions at Baylor Hospitals and Medical Center of Arlington. So not every hospital is phasing out LVN's in Tx.:balloons:

In my area LVN positions come and go in waves. Our county hospital recently went through a major financial crisis and the first thing they did was cut all LVN positions. However at the hospital I work at they staff one LVN per floor, per shift and they are used as "resource nurses". They take care of the majority of the dressing changes, BGs, insulin coverage, and prns. They are also very much used as CNAs. Which, for the money, not a big deal.
