Hey guys! I wanted to start a forum for us twu spring 2012 hopefuls!

About me

I have a 3.2, yikes! :sofahider, and after this summer it should come up to a 3.6 or 7 and I am studying my butt off for the teas and will only have 3 more classes after that to take. I have gotten into the university as the first step, but I am so worried about getting into the nursing program, fingers crossed :uhoh3:

Does anyone know about the whole first attempt extra point thing? For instance, do they give you an extra point for an A in first attempt in all classes or a point for each A that you get in each class?

You get an extra point for an A made on the first attempt only in Micro, Stats, A&P I and II. You do not get a point if you have an A but it is the second attempt of a class.

@mano... oh ok. I wish they were more detailed on there point/scoring system. I am the most impatient person in the world so this waiting game is driving me nuts lol. Good luck to you:)

@ RyanT. How di you do on the TEAS V. Do you know how many students the accept and how many applied? How is the school so far?

When I applied, we were still doing the Hesi A2. I got a 92% overall on that exam. I don't remember the exact number of students who applied to Fall 2010... But I THINK it was about 500-600, and they accepted ~95 of us. I'm not sure how TWU dallas/denton is, but TWU Houston is awesome. The building, the atmosphere, the teachers, and definitely the location, make it a terrific school. In no way, shape, or form should any of you question the integrity of the Houston campus. It's truly a fantastic place to start your nursing career.

She toldme a W on your transcript won't hurt you. Just first attempts and that my scores were really competitive, and that about 75% were transfer students.

OMG! SOO many people!!!!! And didn't know so many were transfers. Thanks for the info ddrj!! Now I'm super bummed but am still holding out hope..
