Just about a year early here, but I wanted to create a thread for Fall 2019 applicants. This is my first time joining a nursing forum; so, let's give it a shot.
While we're all here can ask you guys for some advice?
I work full time as a CNA for a lady. I work 7 days a week with morning and even shifts. So it's become more of a part of life than a job. And her family (her son and his wife) are very accommodating. She however, has another son. He's about late 40s or early 50s. And he has a weird work schedule that allows him to come and stay at the apartment where my resident lives for days at a time. But he makes me so uncomfortable. He gets upset when I don't eat the food he offers me (I always say that I already ate). Today he told me that he saw me in the parking lot (meaning he was watching me). Sometimes he just comes and hangs out and watches me work. He doesn't even spend time with his mom he just sits and watches me walk back and forward from the rooms. Honestly he makes me want to quit but I'm going to be leaving anyways in about a month and a half. So my question is: should I say anything? To him or the family? My boyfriend told me to just do my job and go. But like this morning the EMTs came to pick my resident up and I usually stay to clean up her room, change her sheets etc. But the idea of staying in her apartment alone with him terrified me... I don't know what to do and if I can keep this up. Have you ever had a similar experience?
