TWU Nursing Applicants - Fall 2019

Just about a year early here, but I wanted to create a thread for Fall 2019 applicants. This is my first time joining a nursing forum; so, let's give it a shot.

In the excel sheet there is a column named "Notes". If the AP Credit was awarded from another institution, write TCR in notes. If awarded by TWU, write CR in notes. There is no difference on how many points you get between the two.

Hey everyone!

I'm sure this question has been answered before but while we are waiting for any admissions updates, does anyone know what is considered a good admission score? or a competitive admission score? Thank you!

For Dallas I'd say at least 50, no less. The lowest accepted score is normally between 50-54. For Fall 2018 it was somewhere in the 54's. It's lower for Houston since most of the applicants are from the Dallas area and don't want to move. I'm not sure of the exact Houston stats from previous years. Does anyone else know? If you applied to Dallas with 55+ points I don't think you have to worry.

I've read in past posts that supposedly Houston is less competitive in the Fall. The lowest score was about 39. I have heard that scores higher than 40 is competitive for Houston, but I'm not sure if it is 100% true.

On the instructions for the point worksheet it says generally 40 is competitive for Houston and 48 for Dallas, so I think you're right! For Dallas though, 48 is probably on the lower side. I was just going off of previous year stats. I guess it just comes down to the applicant pool for each semester.

Yeah from what I heard most applicants have a score of 50+ for Dallas. An advisor told me generally they receive about 800-900 applications and they only accept 120 for the Dallas traditional, 30 for Dallas nights and weekends, and then around 130-140 for Houston traditional.

Hello Future Fellow Nurses!

Does anyone know how many people they accept for the N&W program? I was told 120 for Dallas but I didnt know if that was only for the traditional program or both. Thank you in advance! Good luck to you all!!

I have a feeling they might make us wait til next week so if we here before then i'll be HAPPY lol but i'm just waiting til next week at this point LOL....ANYWAYS...since we have a few more people on here...who's all applying to Houston, who's applying to Dallas Traditional and who's all applying to the N&W program????
