Hey y'all!I've applied to both the Texas Women's University in Houston FNP program and the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. If anyone has gone to either could you please help me with pros and cons of the programs and whether you would recommend it? What you liked about it and how the classes were/are.
thank you all so much!!! Any information helps :)
Hey Dsantander! I went to UTHSCSA for my undergrad BSN and applied for the MSN PNP-PC program for this fall. I can honestly say UTHSCSA (U-Teska as we call it lol) is a great school. The undergrad program definitely prepared me as an RN and I knew going back for my masters' degree would be my first option. I have 2 friends in the MSN program (One in the Pediatric NP Program and one in the Family NP Program) and both have nothing but positive things to say.
Have you heard anything yet? I'm still in the process of waiting and anticipation is killing me. They say prior to April 1st we should hear something back. Best of luck to you!
That's truly relieving to hear! I, too, have heard wonderful things about the undergrad program but I personally didn't know anyone in the NP ones.
Yes, they said before the 1st. I still have not heard anything back! It is so nerve wrecking!
Thank you for answering my question :)
and best of luck to you as well.
Way to let people know.... I'm so aggravated!
Relax a bit. I'm sure they want to give everyone their fair shot. But an email would have been nice lol. I was telling my husband about it and he just doesn't get my anxiety lol. Oh well, off to enjoy my weekend! Y'all enjoy yours!!! Can I ask which program y'all applied for?
