Ive always had an interest in BH but haven't been on the floor in ten years. For the past two years I've worked in BH case management but really want to get back on the floor and work three 12'S again. Would the two years in CM be seen as an asset or do most places really want that recent floor experience? My CM is a mix of other illnesses such as diabetes COPD asthma etc but a large percentage of my cases are BH. Thanks much!

I definitely think it would help! If you have med-surg experience, that is definitely an asset, as many psych nurses don't (I am a psych nurse w/no med surg exp so this is not a dig to psych nurses!!!). I would give it a shot!!
I am a nurse who worked in psych (inpt and outpt) for 5 years and am now doing inpt. BH CM.
