Hello,
I am currently a student in Tulsa Tech's PN program. I recently found out that Tulsa Tech is not ACEN accredited. Has anyone else gone through this program and been able to bridge over to get their RN? If so, where have you gone for your RN? I'm freaking out because my plan was essentially to move out of Oklahoma after graduating from the LPN program. I don't think I'll be able to because of the ACEN. Any advice?
Thanks!

I know that OU Tulsa has a bridge program as does TCC for Lpns, but you have to take a qualifying exam and do well. I am considering the lpn program Tulsa Tech....

What are you talking about? On the Oklahoma board of nursing website Tulsa tech is accredited under LPN schools. That's why after finishing the program you will be allowed to sit for the nclex-pn.
It is not ACEN accredited. I had spoken to the Nursing coordinator and she confirmed it was not ACEN accredited. I have also checked under the website multiple times. And on Tulsa techs Practical Nursing information, it says nothing about ACEN. They used to be ACEN accredited back in 2013 or so but lost it. They are accredited in a oklahoma but for me to transfer, it needs ACEN.
So when u graduate and take the Nclex-PN you will still be accredited as an LPN? Correct? Or not?
Could you tell me about the program if you don't mind?
You will be able to sit for the test in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma board of nursing acknowledges it as accredited but lacks the ACEN. So yes, you will be accredited in Oklahoma, but to transfer your license, you wouldn't.
What would you like to know about it? The program was decent. I didn't have a lot of issues with it and my grades were great. But many others in the class had a lot of issues With the program
So in the future you would be able to do LPN to rn/bsn? Just anything in general about the program. Is it very hard or a lot of people not completing or any good or bad feedback about the program overall. Thanks.
I am currently applying to the program because I didn't pass a class in my BSN program so I have to go to Tech. So I hope it is a good program. I've delt with hard/rude instructors and not the nicest classmates so if those were the problems at tech I could handle that with ease.
I know tulsatech is partners with a few colleges including osu it and you could bridge LPN/ADN there.
