Can someone please give me advice! i finshed nursing school in 2008 and life hit me and i couldnt even focus enough to pass my nclex pn, now with it being almost three yrs later idk what i should do as far as in study techniques! im going to take a refesher couse this coming weekend but im just confused and nervous about the boards and just i think im going to just fail beacuse i dont think i really remember anything. Also i have to work and being a single mom of a 2yr old, so idk where and how much i should study!! how much i should study after my refresher course until i take my test. some one pls help me,im just soo confused. i feel like after i take this test and i dnt pass i just want to give up :'(

Hey, this is a shocker - I finished college like eons ago. So, don't feel bad. I understand your predicament, though. Get yourself some good review books. Fish some info around this site on what books helped them in their review and start from there.

Be realistic and give yourself a longer window to study. But make up your mind that you are going to put forth your best effort. Don't dilly dally at it and blame it on other responsibilities. Give yourself blocks of time during the day that are devoted to study and don't allow yourself to get distracted. Others have done this and so can you.

A few years isn't really that long. It may seem overwhelming now....when you feel like you've forgotten everything, but you'll be very surprised at how quickly you'll pick up material that you have previously learned.
Take a review course that focuses on core content.....rather than a question practice review.
