That is so cool that they acknowledged you like that. Proves what wonderful person you are and how valuable you are and definately bottom of the barrel. But you're going to have lots of days you feel that I. Heck I still do after many years in med-surg. Keep that positive attitude. Congrats for passing!!!!!!

Just thought I would share...I took my boards last Wednesday and found out I passed on Friday. On that Friday, I went and told my director that I passed. So, I come in yesterday orienting to med-surg (never been there before) and people are congratulating me. I thought, "Wow, word gets around fast." Then, I had a nurse point out the HUGE sign that my mentor in OB (we orient to other units before orienting to our specialties) posted in the med-surg unit. Ok, well that solved the "word getting around fast".
Then my mentor finds me in med-surg yesterday and asks me to come over on my lunch break. I do, and once there, I discover that my director bought me a dozen roses and bought me this fancy cake with raspberry mousse and white chocolate shavings on it. There was also another huge banner across the nurses's station in OB. I really appreciated this guesture from my mentor and my director. I thought that it was reward enough that I PASSED my boards.
The reason I decided to post this was to just remind myself that even though I had a crappy day in med-surg yesterday that shook my confidence and made me feel like I was bottom of the barrel, I just have to focus on the positive or I just won't make it in this profession.
