any trouble getting a job as LPN?

Well it's been a year of waiting and I finally will begin my LPN classes in less than a week. I've been working as a cna to gain experience. But once I get out of school I really don't want to be restricted to long term care. I pray there are more options. I do plan to get my RN later on. It seems to me that LPN's don't get treated much better than the cna's. Our place for example starts them at 12 an hour, often make them work as cna's if not enough staff, pulling doubles, and one night it was one LPN and 1 RN ( who doesn't do medications or treatments) for almost 70 residents. Well this RN will help but sais she didn't go to school to be a charge nurse and also have to be a "peon floor nurse" She likes to sit on her butt most of the shift!
