Traveling surgical technologist wanting to to become independent contractor

I have been a surgical tech for 13 years, traveling 8 out of the 13 years. I have a name for my business, but I want to start out as an independent contractor for my next travel assignment. Eventually I want to hire others, but for now I just want to start out with myself. How do I approach the facilities, and what are the most important things that I have to do in order to get started? Any feedback is much appreciated, thanks in advance.
