I've been wanting to travel for the last 4 years, and I'm finally at a place where I can take the plunge. My sister and I are wanting to travel together. Anyone have experience traveling as a team? Will it be hard for us to get contracts together?

It depends on what dept you guys work and when you want to work it.. If both of your skills are in demand you should have no problem.. Right now in Phx there are 2 hospitals posting multple travel contracts. You just got to get it when the getting is good.
We're both med-surg. I'm med-surg with emphasis on the medical. And I've been med tele the last 6 months. She's med-surg with emphasis on the surgical. Arizona is actually one if the places we're wanting to go, but as long as we get contracts we'll be happy.
Right on, you guys should do fine then.. The reason I asked is sometimes the hospital wants one and not the other. Ive known husband/wife teams that have had trouble because one was ER and the other OR or one was more clinic than ER but both wanted ER. Ive also seen friends travel together and 1 get fired which usually gets akward.

Hubby and I traveled together for five years and it was great. If you go to a larger city you can also have the option of being on the same shift just at different facilities.

I am currently finishing up on an assigment that I took with a friend of mine. Both of us are ICU nurses. We didn't have a problem getting a job because of being a "team", we had trouble because she had traveled before and this was my first run. We already have our next assignment ready and waiting in January.
