I would be interested to start a conversation regarding the future of Travel Nursing pay. Would like to know peoples opinion about the future of wages. Do you see travel pay increasing in the future as baby boomers age? Increasing more than normal? Will the demand remain stagnant or rise? Will there be a dramatic increase in demand? Will the supply stay stagnant/decrease/rise?
I see that wages tend to remain around the $35 - $40 mark as of now. Not considering housing and other things. How long do you think until it will reach 45-50?
Would love to hear opinions from experienced travel nurses. Thanks

The analyst predict 10% growth a year over the next 15-20 years due to the increasing shortage. With that in mind, there should certainly be an increase

How do I send a PM to you? I'm new to this forum and I'm still trying to find my way. I just want to answer your PM to me but I can't reply back.:imbar
strange i suddenly cant figure out pm as well. Is there any chance u could just post your reply here or in a new thread on travel nursing. thanks. really looking forward to hearing some details.
Okay, here it is:
Yes, men can work in ICU setting. Basic pay for U.S. nurses is about $4300 every 30 days. You calculate your basic pay divided by 240 x 1.5. That's your overtime per hour. No tax, no restrictions on your basic pay or your ovetime. Every cent goes to you. The shifts here are 12 hours. You can do as much overtime as you want, especially on units/wards that are really short of staff. Every year you get a bonus of 1 month salary plus if you did well in your evaluation, you get a step increase, which is 5% increase in your pay. Your 55 days vacation/year is also paid vacation. You get free housing with electric and water bill included.
I don't know which agency to contact if you're interested, but here's the website about the hospital:

In case someone is wondering we are discussing Saudi Arabia.
Serendipty222 -- Which agency do u go through? Helen Z.? SAInternational? Medfinders? Or someone else?
Also, I realize u go as single status but can that be changed once u are there for a few years to include family if u have intentions to stay for years to come?
Do you know if it is difficult to get hired on with Aramco?
So overtime is basically about 26 dollars an hour?
Is it overtime after 36, after 40, or after 48?
Thank you. Trying to get a very realistic picture of what I can make a month doing 6 shifts of 12 hours each week.
I also just learned that the reason neither of us can send private messages is that they just changed to board policy 2 days ago. You now need 15 posts before u can private message people.
What is the required hours per week for the 4300 a month? Is it 3 shifts a week? 4 shifts a week? or some kind of 3 one week and 4 the next type of deal?
Sorry I know its alot of ????????
Thanks.

This thread is completely off topic from what was being asked in the opening question. Please stick to the topic at hand to make things easier for everyone around.
If someone were to read the first post here, they would have no idea that you were talking of Saudi.
And that is International nursing as well, and is not for this forum.
Thread closed since it is off topic.
