Also, if you do a little research you will find that each travel company has good as bad qualities, usually people are unwilling to post recruiter information as it is a violation of the terms of service for this site.
Keep in mind that many travel companies are looking for nurses with 2+ years of experience and certifications in their specialty. The enables them to be able to submit you to facilities and be an attractive candidate. With only 1 yr experience, many facilities may feel you are still learning and ant hit the ground running with 1-2 days of orientation. Most assignments will have just 1 day of orientation for computer systems and unit orientation and the next day you are expected to take a full load of patients. This is why they prefer 2+ years of experience because at 1 yr you are just starting to catch on.
Definitely start reading through the travel nursing forum from this site. Just a few quick searches has yielded me the information above.
Hi! I was a travel nurse with Cross Country TravCorps. I was able to start after one year of experience. My travels were Denver, CO, Glendale, AZ, Austin, TX. I had a ball. I was housed very comfortably and was able to pay off all of my college debt! All calls were returned the same day and she was always looking out for me, discussing next assignments, making sure my documentation was in order and checking up on my level of satisfaction.
I would advise against having only 1 year of nursing experience before traveling. Someone else mentioned that the hospitals want 2+ years and that is for good reason. There is no hand holding, you basically hit the floor running and you need to know nearly everything there is to know about the patient population you are caring for, you can't ask rookie questions as a traveler. I would get another year at least in your specialty and then go!

Hello Everyone!!
I have been a RN nurse for a year and I am looking into travel nursing. It seems so exciting to travel and get paid more! I am doing my research and it would be helpful if anyone can refer an agency or recruiter that is trustworthy.
Thank you in advance!! :)
