Travel Nursing Companies

Hey guys! I am in the process of trying to find a company to go with in order to travel. This is the biggest headache of them all. Does anyone have any company that they worked with that they were just thrilled with? Are there any companies that I need to stay away from? I am a NICU nurse and that's limiting where I can go - there's not many NICU travel jobs out there! I want a company that is going to pay me well, give me housing/or a stipend for housing, provide me with good health and dental insurance, travel expense reimbursement, and also be there when I need them if something goes wrong. I would really appreciate any information I can get on this subject!

I have been traveling with RN Network for over a year, and they have been excellent to me- I just checked their openings, and they have over 60 NICU positions open in various states... PM me if you'd like my recruiter's contact info, or if you have any specific questions.

As a NICU nurse, you are as you say, limited to where there are NICU's.

I advise you strongly not tosign with just one company, but towork with at least 2. I work with 3. They are all aware I am signed with others. This allows me a lot more flexibility as some places are Vendor Managed (ie the travel company is consideredthe preferred company and you will be considered faster and paid more through that company) and companies may be stronger in one geographical region or another. As long as you are upfront about it, you will not have any problems with your recruiters. Having more options has allowed me to travel to where I want to go, rather than settling for one state over. It has not given me a lot of financial negotiating power, but...as far as getting to geographical areas, its been a huge boon.

I work with Sagent, Cirrus and also The big baddie Cross Country. Cross Country because of the Vendor Management isssues in Florida. But for something like NICU, CCTC may give you the best options.

Yo umay have to really consider buying your own health insurance however, ifyou need specific or very good coverage, none of the companies seem to offer great coverage

If you want my recruiters names, I will be happy to PM them to you. I'm shocked, but I really like my recruiter from CCTC....

Best Wishes!!!
