Sorry! Not much help. We don't hire travelers any more and very little agency.
how about management of forensic staff?

I have been exposed to the PBDS testing.....I read a lot about people having problems with them and some places hold your contract contingent upon you passing. I have never had a problem with them, but I also take only my specialty....OB/postpartum/gynecology...I assume the broader floors-med/surg and icu, etc are much more difficult. Just keep in mind-it wants EVERYTHING you would do....just think nursing process.

I'll give it three months and your facility will be begging for ANY nurses they can find. It is such a merry-go-round. A facility uses almost nothing bu agency/travelers; then they have a mass hiring and get rid of agency nurses (not that we care b/c there are too many hospitals with too many needs to possibly run out of options .); within the probationary period most of the nurses have already quit and they call the agency AGAIN :chuckle.
Once I was working contract at a facility and this happened. The facility paid me two weeks wages and canceled my 13 week contract in 3rd week stating they would no longer use agency. On what would have been my 6th or 7th contract week they asked us to return. Agencies really hard nosed them and got an extra $5hr for LPNs And $8 hr for RNs. In the end they lost more money that they saved with the mass hiring and cancellation of contracts (hospital floor mangers confided):wink2:
I saw a contract position for a Forensic nurse on Favorite Healthcare Staffing's website for a traveler. I can't remember what state but if you google the name your can search the site and get the info. They have lots of contracts throughout the USA. I am not sure if it's management though.
