Travel nurse as a 30 unit option

I was wondering if nurses who have their licensure with the 30 unit option if they have been able to travel as a nurse in California ? Are you able to travel out of state? Also when verifying background checks on schooling are you considered having a diploma ? Has this been an issue when trying to get a job ? What do you tell your employer when asked if you have a degree ?
