TRAVEL NURSE/TAX YEAR/ COVID

Hi, I am currently a travel nurse in San Francisco and my travel year is coming up in June. I have been told the best way to keep your tax free stipends and avoid being burned in an audit is to move 50 miles from your place of work after a year for at least three months before returning. HOWEVER, with this covid-19 madness and all of these shelter-in-place laws I am wondering if the IRS will be more lenient in the "tax year" policy. If anyone can shed some light on this I would greatly appreciate it!
