Travel Nurse Pay rate in California

What are travel nurses making in Cali? I am planning on traveling and I was wondering what they pay was for traveling RN's and LPN's.

Rate varies significantly depending on city as well as agency. You need ot be much more specific, and would probably get more answers under the travel forum.

Also, pay depends on the contract rate between the hospital and the traveling agency. Just because the agency may service two or more hospitals within the same community, doesn't mean the pay is the same in those hospitals. And you need to be very careful about some of our hospitals....the pay rate may be the highest but an unsafe work environment may be the reason.

Any LVN's out there that can tell me what a typical day is like working at Salinas Valley State Prison in Soledad, CA? I'm an LVN Traveler waiting for gate clearance to this facility.
