Hey everyone! My question is regarding trauma centers. Does your ICU experience have to come from a Level I, II, or III trauma center? Has anyone ever gotten into or know someone that has gotten into anesthesia school and their ICU experience was at a non-trauma center? Thanks for you help!

I don't think that really matters. Just b/c you work in a level 1 trauma center doesn't mean you'll take care of traumas. I work a level 1 trauma center in the CCU, and I work at the Cleveland Clininc which I believe is a Level II. I think my experience at the Cleveland Clinic in the CVICU will be more valuable than the Level I trauma center I work at now. I've worked with people from both hospitals who have gotten in to CRNA school. For a while, I even worked in an ICU at a small rinky-dink hospital that didn't really was like working on a tele floor, and a couple people there got into CRNA school. Hope this helps.
