Translated documents : Copy question

Hello everybody!

I got my documents translated but the translator did not send copies as I had requested. I need everything at least twice : For the Visa Screen , N.Y. BON and CES. Can I make a copy and ask the public notary to notarize it? Or is it not allowed ? Or can they share the translated license etc.?

Thanks,

nutella

If you are doing NY, you do not send them anything. CGFNS is responsible for obtaining the documents for NY. They have a special credentials verification for NY, not the regular CES. If you are applying to NY, you need the special form and CGFNS takes care of the translations, etc.

If you are applying for NY the only three applications that you need are the application for the NY Bon, as well as Visa Screen and special Credentials Verification for NY, both of those are available on CGFNS website.

Hope that this helps................then you can just use the one document that you have for your NY application...and you are all set........

Hi Suzanne,

I filled out the forms for N.Y. . I thougt that I have to send in copies for the Visa Screen, that is why I am confused! I filled out the special CV for N.Y. and the regular Visa Screen forms : They do not have their own Visa Screen for N.Y. do they? And , of course the BON N.Y. . But I still have to send forms to the nursing school and the license registry in germany--or not?

Thanks again Suzanne!

If you are doing the special credentials verification for NY, then you only fill out the application and pay the fee. You do not obtain any of the documents. Even if you do, they will not use them. Visa Screen is Visa Screen, if CGFNS obtains your documents, they can use the same ones for the Visa Screen. As I stated before, you only need to submit the three applications...................if you already have one set translated, use that for the BON. Do not send any documents to CGFNS, they can not use them and you will just waste your money. Only the applications and payment for their services.

Thanks Suzanne!

O.K. I should be "all set" and will send it tomorrow.

You are so helpful-I guess you are tho only one who really knows all about that stuff. I should call you "Master of Disaster" because I am always in trouble with this forms and handbooks...

Thanks,

Also, if you pay close attention to the application for NY BON. You only fill out part 1 if you are a foreign grad. Any documentation about your nursing school, etc. must come directly from CGFNS.

I filled out part 1.
