Transition into Walk in Clinic or Urgent Care

Hi. Anyone know of a way to transition into walk in or urgent care? I currently work in a specialty, not similar experience. Thanks!

Hi there. I would recommend picking up a PRN position in UC/WIC or even retail clinic for experience. You may want to consider a program like Urgent Care Bootcamp. The few positions in my area want experienced providers as most of the UC centers function as mini ED. Best of luck to you! I’ve been in WIC for 9 years (7 years as solo provider), you never know what you’re going to see that day.

do you recommend a specific bootcamp? there seems to be quite a few and very expensive but seems worth it
