Transfer Student UMass Boston

Published

Hi guys,

This is my third year of college. I started out not knowing what I wanted to do and in return wasted a lot of time transferring between schools. The first school I went to, I left with a 2.75 GPA. I transferred to a different school to pursue nursing but was let down completely when they told me they will not accept a repeated class (I failed PSYCH at my previous school). At that point, I had somewhat given up because this school was my DREAM school. I took four classes there and withdrew from 3 of 4, receiving an F in a math class and leaving me with a GPA of 0. I decided then to go to a two year but after consulting with people and advisors, I decided I'd rather just go straight for my BSN. I had wasted too much time to continue to try to see if I could get into the program or not. I will be graduated with an Associates degree in Liberal Arts in Fall 2017 and would like to apply to BSN programs. My current GPA is a 3.4 but my cumulative GPA is lower (I believe about 2.8?). My science GPA is fair. I have all A's but one C (which I am retaking). I HOPE to get the cumulative GPA up by next Fall and I believe I can.

I am currently looking into schools right now. My top choices are UMass Boston, Pace University, SUNY Stony Brook, and Long Island University. Most of these schools are located in NYC but I am willing to relocate but preferably on the East coast. I am also studying for my TEAS V. Please give me your honest opinions. Do you think I will be able to get into any of these schools? Anything will help. I feel like I have reached a dead end and will never be a nurse. :banghead:

If anyone cares to share their GPA, TEAS V scores that would be awesome.
