  1. My mistake. I am looking for programs mainly in NYC and NYS area.
  2. Hey guys! I'm posting this in hopes for some feedback about a few BSN programs I am interested in. If you guys are current students or perspective students let me know about your experience! What were your stats? Thanks! Also, does anyone know why some SUNY's do not require an entrance exam or letters of recommendation? I mean I LOVE this policy but it kind of makes me worried that their programs are beyond competitive and I do not have a chance. -SUNY Buffalo -SUNY Binghamton -Long Island University -Adelphi -Pace Thanks again!
  3. If anyone cares to share their GPA, TEAS V scores that would be awesome.
  4. Hi guys, This is my third year of college. I started out not knowing what I wanted to do and in return wasted a lot of time transferring between schools. The first school I went to, I left with a 2.75 GPA. I transferred to a different school to pursue nursing but was let down completely when they told me they will not accept a repeated class (I failed PSYCH at my previous school). At that point, I had somewhat given up because this school was my DREAM school. I took four classes there and withdrew from 3 of 4, receiving an F in a math class and leaving me with a GPA of 0. I decided then to go to a two year but after consulting with people and advisors, I decided I'd rather just go straight for my BSN. I had wasted too much time to continue to try to see if I could get into the program or not. I will be graduated with an Associates degree in Liberal Arts in Fall 2017 and would like to apply to BSN programs. My current GPA is a 3.4 but my cumulative GPA is lower (I believe about 2.8?). My science GPA is fair. I have all A's but one C (which I am retaking). I HOPE to get the cumulative GPA up by next Fall and I believe I can. I am currently looking into schools right now. My top choices are UMass Boston, Pace University, SUNY Stony Brook, and Long Island University. Most of these schools are located in NYC but I am willing to relocate but preferably on the East coast. I am also studying for my TEAS V. Please give me your honest opinions. Do you think I will be able to get into any of these schools? Anything will help. I feel like I have reached a dead end and will never be a nurse.
  5. Thanks again! I guess this isn't looking well for me. If you don't mind me asking, what school did you attend? :)
  6. Thanks for your advice! After high school I spent two semesters at a private college having a GPA of 2.7. I transferred to a good public college for pre nursing but was told I would not be eligible for their program as I had repeated a class. I took two classes their but ended up withdrawing from both. I then transferred to my current school.
  7. If anyone is currently attending nursing programs in NYC/Northeast or attended in the past please let me know what you think! :)
  8. Hi! I will be graduating from Borough of Manhattan Community College (CUNY) in NYC in two semesters. I am looking into nursing programs but am afraid I will not be accepted into many as they are competitive and my grades aren't all that great. I currently have a 3.4 GPA but I have also attended two other schools in which I did OKAY. I would love it if you guys could give me some feedback/advice or if you have been in the same situation as me. I feel a little hopeless but really want to go to nursing school. Thank you!
