Transfer AL license to GA

I am in the process of gathering everything I need to transfer my AL RN license to GA. Listed as one of the things to include with the application is

  • Proof of graduation from an approved nursing education program within four (4) years immediately preceding the date of application

On my official transcripts it states that I graduated from my nursing program at my college, but I was wondering if this is sufficient and if not what kind of proof are they looking for exactly?

Hopefully you get some responses but maybe you can clarify with the board of nursing directly. I would think an official (sealed, etc) transcript is sufficient but perhaps they may also want a copy of your diploma?

I just got my license by endorsement to GA. All they want is an official sealed copy of your transcripts from your school. They have to be sealed or are unofficial.

About a month, but I stayed on top of everything to make sure there was no delays. You can check the status of your application online at their website. Just call them if you have any questions. I've heard that GA is notorious for taking months to process a license so just make sure you check the status to make sure they receive everything. If you are using Nursys.com for the verification of licensure make sure you check up on that because I spent the 30 dollars to send it and the BON said they never received it, but it had been sent. Thank you!! AL doesn't participate in nursys so I have the official notification from them to send to GA. I'm getting my fingerprints today so hopefully I'll be sending my app in soon!! Do I have to wait for anything after getting my fingerprints? Or can I go ahead and send the app in right away?

I had already mailed my application the day before I had my fingerprints done because they had to be mailed to a location in Ohio because I wasn't actually getting the fingerprints done in GA, I had them done in FL. Are you getting them done in AL?
