Hi everyone,

I have been TPAPN 2 years and one month.

I missed two check in's in the last 30 days.
I self tested both times on the same day.

I have missed check ins before and only once did not self test the same day.

I have had 3 out of ranges due to dilute urine in the entirety of my 2 years and 1month. No positives

What are possible consequences?
How often can you miss in a 30, 60, 90 day time period.

I am freaking out a little.

One would hope thar because you tested all is well but who knows. I don't know what happens. I haven't missed one check in yet thank God. I would hope the worst you'd get is a few more months. I email myself every day to remind myself.

How did this turn out?

Hi there Healer555,

actually it's alright. TPAPN allows 3 missed check in's a month.*** However it is recommended to do a self test if you miss a check in. This is what I did. Once you realize you miss a check in, go to a Care Now that day — they are open late and usually have a lab tech, or go self test the next day. You must notify your case manager of the reason why you missed the check in.

And, how it is viewed in terms of your compliance and effort to do well in the program completely depends on your case manager. I have a very appropriate and compassionate. I have heard nightmare case managers.  Some of which make you restart the program. But, this of TPAPN many years ago.

***Note that there are repercussions if you missed a check in and a chosen to test that day.  Self testing is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT as soon as you realize you missed the check in.  It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT you contact your case manager ASAP. Depending on your previous compliance and how "lenient" your case manager is, you may or may not be warned of extension or warned kicked out, OR you may ACTUALLY be extended OR kicked out of the program.

Interesting. In my state the case manager is more of a messenger than a decision maker. In my state I'm not sure if we can miss check ins but there are just extended monitoring agreements for the Slightest error. It's really ridiculous because I know I have to test 4x a month and checking in after the 4th time when I know I don't have to test is pointless. A lot of power the case manager has in your state. We have a medical director and a program director to whom the case manager reports.
