Im currently an Lpn, and have an unrelated bachelors degree. I'm finishing up a/p1/2 and micro this semester. All three in one semester short term classes. So I'll be ready to apply by the summer. Wondering if I should apply for csn's bridge program try touro/rosemans accelerated BSN programs. Has anyone heard anything about the new chamberlain program yet? I'm really conflicted so any thoughts or experiences help. If I did the bridge is then continue an online rn to BSN ..

Oh yea and I'm not really concerned with the cost of the programs since I as in the navy I'll be using my gI Bill

Have you looked at the pass rate for nclex at the schools? Not sure if it's changed but Turo had a pretty poor pass rate. That was a couple years ago.

Also look at where the hospitals hire from...... I know for a fact that Ccsn or CSN whatever they call it now is very highly rated by hiring managers at a lot of the hospitals

Where would I look to find where hospitals hire from most? I know that can is very highly spoke of but I wasn't sure as far as hiring goes with adn vs a BSN elsewhere

Contact hr at local hospitals and ask if they hire new grads from______

St Rose (all campuses prefer bsn). Sunrise was a mix before not sure now. I know a couple ADN that work at umc

St. Rose is one of the highest paying hospital! and they prefer BSN over adn... That being said, it doesn mean that when u have adn no one will hire you, its just that when u want to apply at hospital it will get ver competitive coz of the degree they prefer.. My friend is a ADN grad got hired after a month and now works at the hospital at Seven Hills. Like i said, at the hospitals it depends..

But if ur an ADN grad, there would be still a lot of oppurtunities to start at a Long term care, my friend got 4 lined up job offers but she didnt want to do long term facilities..

Now all the school u have mentioned, I already asked them all (lol) It actually depends on your financial situation.. If you can afford the out of pocket or private loans after the fafsa, then go ahead, it is really expensive! BUT! for thr price u pay, ur most likely have greater chance of getting in, coz these are private school, as long as you pass their initial gpa requirements and admission process..

If i had that extra money why not!? But sadly, I cannot afford BSN program, and will do ADN at csn. My fafsa will cover the whole tuition fee and books as well, coz of my EFC:000, I am approved for 15k a year alone on fafsa that I can use as my tuition for 2yrs in CSN, but the only thing on those campuses like csn, it is very competitive to get in..

It really depends on financial situation... For me like i said why not, I have no problem getting a jon experience at a Long term facilities, An experience is still an experience! and I can get that on any facility that will hire me as an ADN grad, and work on my bsn while working. cheaper and wiser choice tho..

Now, if its really hard to get in, that the time I will prolly consider the private school. Its all up to you :)

By the way, Touro University have a good NCLEX PASS RATE! for 2015, i saw 100% pass rate,

Roseman have a very good pass rate as well! but very hard to stay in as they require 90% on everything to stay on their. program! Roseman has fewer prereqs and gen eds for a BSN AS WELL!

Do ur research and see what will fit ur budget and how u also wan to get in, coz dofferent school have different requirements ant Entrance exam!

I'm honestly leaning towards csn or touro. The only thing is there really is not slot of information out there or reviews about touro... It would be nice to just be done with it

I recently got accepted to Roseman ABSN Feb 2016 program but reconsidering my offer. I feel that the admission advisers there are a bit too aggressive for me. They are constantly calling me (almost every week) for updates. I had a few phone calls from them after 8pm and on weekends. Their program is expensive and there is a requirement of 90% minimum in order to pass a class. They boost about graduating with a 4.0 GPA but will show up as P/NP credits. This will make it a little difficult to transfer courses if you decide to go for a master's. IMO

Which is why I'm hesitant of roseman... Anyone can have great nclex scores when u get kicked out of u don't mainaina90 the whole way... Chamberlain looks attractive but there's just not much info out there about them
