I am a pre-nursing student who just started at a community college working on my pre-req.'s. My student education plan states that if I stay on track and am lucky enough to win the "lottery" to get into the nursing program, I will graduate in 2017. That would be fine if I wasn't a mother in my thirty's. I am now looking into going to a fast track school but there aren't very many options. (I live in So Cal) Everest offers a ASN and West Coast University offers a BSN and MSN. These schools are not accredited so I'm thinking WCU is the way to go so if I wanted to get my MSN I could go back there. I am getting so many different opinions and I need some insight! I have some friends that are doctors and nurses and they say a degree is a degree but what do recruiters and employers look at? I have read so many BAD reviews online about these schools saying its a waste of time and money and you do not get a real degree at these schools. They sound really bitter and angry. I am more concerned about time than money. Can anyone help???

Here is a list of Accelerated BSN programs in the US. There are several in southern California

Thank you for the list. Unfortunately the schools listed have waiting lists or lotteries as well!
