Hi! I'm a RN from the Philippines. I'm just wondering if you guys know a good Hospital in FL that offers residency or internship program? And also, do you know if the program provides sponsorship for foreign nurse?

This info will be of great great help!

thank you so much!!:lol2:

Depends on what area of Fl you are in. St. Josephs in Tampa is where I am and started their internship and it is pretty good, they offer it in all different areas, ie ICU, PICU, NICU, etc. Most of the large hospital do have internship, just depends on what type of nursing you want and where you live.

Specializes in ICU, Telemetry, neuro,research.

florida hospital group in orlando offers many wonderful internships/orientation programs in a variety of specialties. they also offer you funds to help you move and will help you look for housing.you can look them up on the web. jackson memorial hospital in miam is part of a huge family of health care facilitites, among them, ryder trauma center and the university of miami hospital, formerly cedars, sylvester comprehensive cancer center, bascom palmer eye institute, miller school of medicine. jackson has a national reputation and the physicians at um are known internationally. there are other large organizations in miami, baptist health south florida, for instance, i know that they have programs for new nurses and they are supposed to have special lodgings on campus for their nurses but i do not know enough about that, as it is a new program, to give any information. baptisthealth.org will offer information. all the information is available via each different website for the hospital: tenethealth.com= hialeah hospital, northside, coral gables and palmetto. hca= kendall regional hospital. look carefully and remember, if anything sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
