Took nclex, shut off at 75qs, now im scared to know the result

Published

I took nclex-rn on 12/5 and it shut off at 75th question. I cant determined whether the questions i got belongs to easy or difficult level. All i can remember was some were content type, more than 10 sata and alot of priority questions. (I lost count on each tho).

Now is the hardest part-the waiting game! Until now i havent gotten any courage to check on the result yet. A part of me is so curious to try the PVT in the first 24hours but i didnt, and now it was already 4days after and i know that the quick view result offered by ncsbn is now available;however i dont feel like doing it and paying for 7.95$ . I know i may sound terrible and crazy and maybe i was the only one who took the test and doesnt want to know the result.

Many things'running on my mind, thinking what if I passed or what if not?! Arrgg Im so scared to know the truth! Of course i will be very happy if the result is positive, but the fact that the result could be 50,50%chances. Cant imagine what will be my reaction. Im afraid of the negative thoughts and the agony of waiting is slowly killing me!! 😖 i still hold on to my faith, hope and pray that i passed. 🙏🏼Maybe i will just wait for the mail and find out.

Who else can relate? Or am i really the only one?

What will i do now? Is it still a normal feeling? I plan to keep on reviewing to enhance my knowledge and keep my brain cells working, coz ive been a graduate since '08 and is quite a long time that my brain gets rusty and empty.

Any word of advice and comforting thoughts will be greatly appreciated and also if you can share some of your review materials like the ones i often read on blogs : la charity, ati, hurst, kaplan.

HI everyone. I Just want to share my experience and the process for Nclex. I graduated Nov 6, i decided to Take the Nclex as soon as possible. So, i scheduled for December 16. For preparation i used the kaplan q bank which is 1400 question for 50 dollars ( only available for One month).in order to finish it i was doing 150 questions a Day 7 days of the week. Sometimes i Just couldnt but i Would try at least 75. I Would write down what i knew i had trouble with. After 17 days i finished the q bank, i had only a week and half to go back and review One more time all of the questions i got wrong. After that i díd the trainer questions of kaplan that you can find in quizlet , only did number 6 and 7. Then i did Lacharity questions (quizlet). I Still had some days left and decided to do Nclex 4000 , probably around 300 questions total(specially the select all that apply). I was Stille nervous and went online and found the nclex review 35 page that is going around. I only took a look at it, nothing too intense. Well the Day before the exam i did 40 questions from nclex 4000 and reviewed lab balues nothing else. The Day of the exam i sat down and the computer shutoff at 75 questions. I thought i knew nothing.every single question i had no idea if i was answering it correct OR not. Two hours after the exam i tried the pearson vue trick and i got the good window . I was still skeptical of that but somehow it calmed my nerves a little bit. I did the trick throughout the Day , probably 10 times. Then today at 8 am i went to the Bon website and my liscence number was there.

I knew this is Long but i Just wanted to share my experience and that you can pass with only 75 questions. One last thing, pray pray pray a lot .Good luck to everyone.

Im sorry. I know is hard, but you can do it. Take a look at what i did to prepare for mine, Maybe that can help you for the second time

LilianDelaCruz,

congratulations on passing the board! :)

i am positive that i can make it on my second attempt. Hopefully í ½í¹í ¼í¿¼í ½í¸Š maybe i was one unlucky person who did the 75qs and failed! Maybe my hardworks didnt paid off the way i want it but still gives me another chance to prove myself and that's what im going to do. Take the practice tests again and again, more questions the better.
