Hello,
So I took my nclex yesterday. Early result will be avail on Friday. I need to get my Board of Nursing to license me before next monday because it is orientation day for my new job. Does the score usually get posted two days after the test? Will it help to call? I'm in seattle, WA. Any comments are appreciated.
for those curious with the exam. I studied the contents with Saunders and practice with the kaplan trainer. I put in about three weeks, 8 hours/day. I spent two weeks on the saunders doing just questions and refresh memories. Last week was dedicated to kaplan to learn how to answer nclex appropriately. YES, you do need to know the content but also equally important, you need to know how to answer these "tricky" questions. Still don't know the score yet but I felt confident when the test ends at 75 yesterday. Also, the good pop trick helps.

I took mine yesterday, and had my results today (I passed!). I'm in Ohio so ymmv. I did the Pearson trick too, and it worked for me.

The employer verifies your license by use of the internet, on the phone, or by fax. You do not need the physical license itself.
Thanks for the response
I think you may have misunderstood me. I don't physically need a license right now. However, I do need them to convert my "pending" license on the board of nursing to "actually license" so that my employer can check it. Does this usually happen two days after the exam or when the early score becomes avail?
My pending status was changed to approved today.
I would inquire with the Board, as it is their call.
:ancong!: And good luck with that new job!
thank you....

I say also talk to your job- if your BON is being slow, see if they will still let you start orientation if you can prove you passed with quick results
My school required me to be a CNA prior to starting nursing classes, and the board was being slow about certifying me but they accepted my CNA test passed results

that's a great idea. I hadn't thought of that. I'll definitely try and call tomorrow. Just want to see if there are anyone here in Washington with experiences to the Washington Nursing Commission and how speedy there are.
let us know how it turns out!
