I am a new member, though I have used allnurses in the past for the great information posted on here. Nurses truly are giving individuals as indicative by the answers provided by members on here.
Anyways, I am starting a Kaplan's course tomorrow and took the Diagnostic portion today and got a 62. This after I have studied a lot from various sources. Though I am at currently at the phase of my studying where I am now concentrating and solely focusing on test questions. Hence why I am starting Kaplan's.
I have to admit, I feel something is wrong with me for the 62, especially after all the studying I have done. It is so frustrating, especially seeing questions with terms and procedures I have not even heard of! Let alone I have to answer those questions!?
62. Is it a poor score? A fair score? I am about to take my school's Hesi exit exam in about 3 weeks and I have to pass that to qualify for the NCLEX. I am extremely nervous now and would like to know should I postpone my upcoming exam if I can?
Any responses would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Is this the Kaplan NCLEX diagnostic? We were told as long as the score is 65 or above in the diagnostic and 60 or above in the trainers, then we've got >90% chance of passing NCLEX.
Remember, NCLEX isn't about getting a "high score". It's about answering the majority of your questions that are above the passing line correctly. If you're at a 62 and aren't yet done with nursing school, you'll be fine.
Thanks for the reply.
To clarify, I am taking the Kaplans to take the HESI. I am done with the academic portion of my program, and I am on the verge of completing the clinicals.
I have been using yourbestgrade website, and I feel my grades are not up to par, reason for doing Kaplans. Seems there is so much I do not know still. Reading questions that look so unfamiliar about topics I am fairly certain we did not even touch upon in school have me very concerned as I am set to take the HESI in about 3 weeks.
My understanding is if I do well on the HESI, the NCLEX will be much less difficult, reason it is the exit exam.
