Im interested in Emory's School of Nursing. Ive looked over the qualifications for admission into the college and it seems i would need a Sat score unless i received home schooling. Im 36 ..will they even consider me? Should I attrend a two year college and then transfer to Emory?

Any info woulf be appreciated

Thanks Michelle

I had to write to you. Nursing is one field that you do not need to be concern with your age. I had women in their 50's while I was in school, and I graduated at 37 myself. So, go for it.

Hello,

I just graduated from Emory in May 2009 and now work in an ICU. We had people in our class that ranged in ages from 19-56 so age is not an issue. We also had single mothers and women with partners who were and were not supportive of their goals. It is really a mix bag. A lot of Emory nursing students like myslef already had a degree and were going back to school to become a nurse....

Go for it!!!
