Too Large for OR Scrubs??

Hey everyone! So I'm currently in my OB clinical and let's just say I hate it to say the least. There's nothing especially bad about it other than I'm grossly uninterested and know it's not what I want to do. I'm supposed to observe a c-section this week and I noticed last week that the hospital supplies OR scrubs up to a size XL. I'm a 3XL and there's no way I'm fitting in those XL scrubs. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation / experience? To be honest, I have no desire to watch a c section and know my classmates (all want to be L&D nurses) would get a lot more out of watching the section than I will. Any advice?

First, find out if observing a c section is a requirement. If it is, you may not have an option.

For the scrubs, find out if larger sizes are stocked in the men’s locker room. For one of the buildings I cover, I have to raid the men’s locker room to get my size. The other option would be to see what they do for dads who are coming back and need larger sizes- are there disposable options?

Definitely bring your concerns up to your instructor about the sizes.
