I'm an RN with 6 years of ICU experience and am contemplating picking up a travel assignment within my current state this fall/winter. Would it be too early to start speaking with travel recruiters now, since it will be several months before i may be ready to accept an assignment? If not, are you " allowed" to sign up/apply to several companies at once?? I'm sure doing so expands the opportunities and may give me more options to choose from, but I also don't want to burn bridges with recruiters if i sign up but don't take an assignment with their company.

All you have to do here is read several random threads to find my standard broken record advice at various length. Talk to lots of agencies and sign up with the best 3 to 5. Which are the best? The ones where you click with the recruiter and feel like you can trust them. More important than any other factor in your decision including promises of lots of money or the agency brand.
