Tomorrow is my first day !

I am 53 years old and was hired as a CNA at a LTC in my town. I am SO excited!! I went through two interviews and shadowed a CNA and knew that this is where I should be!

I just want to say to everyone out there who thinks they are too old to start something new OR to follow that dream, if it is meant to be, it will be. No matter how old you are. Whether you started your schooling in your early twenties and didn't finish, you CAN return to your first love in your fifties! Never be afraid to catch that dream!

Tomorrow is my first day! Orientation. I haven't even been trained yet. Can anyone tell me what it will be like training in a LTC. I know I'll find all this out tomorrow, but I'm so excited! I'll be a CNA by summer!!

That is great news! I know LTC is something that a LOT of people are passionate about. I recently started working at a LTC facility as a CNA while I go to nursing school. It is a very rewarding and definitely not a job just anyone can do! Congrats on finding your calling.
