Today was the kind of day that two years ago, while taking the first steps toward recovery,I would never have been able to fathom.A good friend of mine gave birth to a 7lb 6oz 19inches long beautiful baby girl, and yes she is PERFECT in every way:yeah:. Then I cried for 10 mins when she asked me to be the godmother!!!! I held baby Kaylie for awhile, and marveled at the journeys that life brings you.
Just had to share, let those early in recovery know that some days really are tough, but others just leave you smiling for no reason.
It's days like this I am soooooo thankful for the recovery I have found and keep working on.
I am actually gushing right now just thinking of this little person whose life I get to be a apart of.:loveya:
Hope everyone has a wonderful day

Hey congrats!! That is just wonderful. I am very happy for you and your new godbaby. The same type of thing happened to me after I had been in the recovering nurse program for about 3 months and it really helped me see life in a different light.

Sheilagh, Wow. The gifts of sobriety are always greater than anything that I can ever magine all on my own. They are truly moving, aren't they? Congratulations on the well deserved honor. Thanks for sharing some of the good stuff in your life with us.
