I remembered when my instructor asked me this question and I'm not sure with the answer. What laboratory values should the nurse review during tocolytic therapy if a mother is in pre-eclampsia and she is receiving Magnesium sulfate IV? My answer is uric acid level. but the options are: CBC with differential, serum medication level, indirect coomb's test or uric acid level?

the answer is serum medication level...to determine therapeutic level of mag sulfate.
Thank you so much! That's my second option though. That should have been my answer if i didn't changed it.
Always go with your first instinct, lol! Good luck!
