To retake chemistry for CRNA school?

Published

Hello! So I am wanting to apply for CRNA school this spring and I have a gpa of 3.6. My last chemistry was in undergrad but it was fundamentals of chemistry which I got an A in. I'm not sure if I should finish chem 1 at one of my local community colleges like I'm doing (it just started this week) or just drop it and go my undergrad chem. My question is will some schools take my A in fun chem (therefore I can drop the chem I am in right now? Or should I continue taking the chem 1 I am in now (I also dont want to get a B which could bring down my science GPA).

Depends on why you're taking the chemistry course in the first place. Are you applying to a specific program that requires bio chemistry? If not I would look for other ways to improve your resume. Also if you're planning to drop, make sure you drop before it shows up on your transcript.

I was mainly taking it since I'm not sure if the schools would take my fun chem, and none of the schools I'm planning on applying too require bio chem.
