Hey guys just seeking someone's opinion on whether or not I should renew my LPN license. It expires on June 30th! but I am an ASN grad who is just waiting for my ATT to take RN boards! When I checked online, it allows me to schedule but it asks for my ATT # so I'm guessing it was mailed out, and I should be getting it any day now. Anyway, I plan to take RN boards towards the end of June, if date is still available. Should I forget about renewing my LPN license, if I'm taking the RN boards just DAYS before my expiration date?? The way I look at it is, if I fail RN boards, WHICH I WILL NOT then I can always just renew my LPN license online, right? Is that what you would do? Please give me some feedback....I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Nikki
p.s. the money IS an issue, so I don't want to have to pay to renew my LPN if I don't have to.

I have LPN/LVN license too and will be taking NCLEX-RN on July. I would rather pay and renew my license than to lose it. When I and my friend applying for a Job. she is RN and I am only LVN when we got to some facilities not hiring RN and hiring only LVN. She badly really need a job that time even caregiver she wants to apply. I easily got a job after I passed the exam. she doest have a job for one year. now I am practicing my profession got more experience than her. that was my experience so dont lose it. Renewal is not that much. you can even work for 2 days and paid your renewal.
