To the FNP's, PLEASE help me??? Scared

Published

Hello. I had a question for the FNP's/ RN's out there, maybe even if I can get a response from the EAR/NOSE/THROAT FNP's. I am a nursing student, and going through physical exam, we noticed several flesh-colored bumps on the back of my throat. They are small bumps, like pimple size. I always thought they were normal. No fever, no white strep spots, no sore nodes, no abnormal symptoms of any kind. My tonsils were taken out when I was 4, so no tonsil symptoms.

I feel good, head to toe. I've always had these, but never thought anything of them. It was my nursing partner who questioned, and now I'm scared. I haven't had a doctor look at the back of my throat in 8 years....(i know that's bad). I also don't have insurance bc I am switching jobs and my insurance will kick in starting Jan. 2013. But with HPV causing throat cancer now, I am freaked. I know curriculum papillae at the back of the tongue is normal, but there are at the back of my throat, very clearly visible. None on my uvula. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
