TN Nursing Schools: Belmont, Austin Peay, Aquinas

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Has anyone been accepted to Belmont, Austin Peay in Clarksville or Aquinas? What were your grades and test scores? Trying to feel out my chances; I have 3.5 overall, 2.7 science gpa (ugh, bad I know), and 84% on TEAS, but will re-take that soon. And how do you like it so far if you have started school already, or what have you heard? I am from another state, not sure what the competition is like or what those schools are like...Thanks!

You should be good to get into Belmont with a 3.5. They have rolling admissions so apply for whichever semester as early as possible. They do have a few prereqs. As for APSU typically those accepted have a 3.4 or above with at least a TEAS of 74%, but they only take the GPA of the Pre-nursing classes they require. APSU is a very good Nursing program. Definitely get in touch with the Pre-Nursing advisor there at APSU and she will be able to help you with all of your questions. Not to mention the tuition at APSU is almost 3x cheaper than Belmont. Belmont is a very good program though, and they have several different program options, Fast-Track or Accelerated. They offer admission both in the Fall or Spring and give preference to those that have over a 3.0 cum GPA. Hope this helps!
