titrations, mcg/gtt

I am looking for formulas, sample problems, any advice at all on doing titration problems, finding mcg/gtt and constants. My usual source, Dosage Calculations 7th ed, by Gloria Pickar, has little to nothing in this area. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am a second yr student, last semester, and we are just now really getting into the critical care material.:uhoh21:

it is very helpful to know how to work these problems using dimensional analysis because you are seeking to end up with specific labels on the final answers. you also have to know your conversion equivalents (i.e., 1000mcg = 1 mg, 1 kg = 2.2 lb.). you also need to know the old dose desired divided by the dose on hand equals the dose to give formula for just about all of these problems. the only other thing you have to know is 8th grade math and how to work with ratios and fractions because you are going to end up with equations that have fractions in them when you work these problems by dimensional analysis.
