Tips/Advice for starting LPN school?

Published

Good morning everyone!

I will be starting my LPN program on February 1st! I'm so excited to finally start, but I'm so nervous for the challenges that nursing school and working full time in school will bring. Is anyone else starting their program soon? Also, for everyone currently enrolled in a LPN program or has completed a LPN program do you have any tips or advice that you found helpful, would have found helpful, or have learned along the way?

I appreciate everyone's responses in advance!

Is this for Kaplan in Sacramento? They haven't even call me yet:(

Thank you so much for the advice everyone! I start on Monday and it finally hit me hard today! I'm so excited to be that much closer to doing what I've always wanted to do! I've done some mental health NCLEX questions (only because I'm a tech on my hospital's mental health unit) and I got a lot more right than I expected! The one's I got wrong were ones I second guessed myself on.

the key is finding out your learning style.. you need to find out what works for you.. especially while in fundamentals... nursing school is not like college.. its legit boot camp.. lol... but when you find your style your good... key advice... monitor your grades.. and most importantly.... try your hardest to have high grades on your first batch of easy exams... because the farther you go its going to get tougher.....
