Timeline for GBON review

Published

First time posting here but have been reading through a bunch of posts. Im currently finishing my last two weeks of nursing school. My school already had us all apply for licensure by examination. I noticed when I applied I had to divulge any past arrests even if they were not convicted of expunged. 5.5 years ago I was in a bad time in my life and long story short made some stupid decisions and was arrested for misdemeanor possession of marijuana. I had it expunged from my record after doing community service. I clicked yes on my application for admitting the past arrest and sent in a personal letter of explanation as well as court documents. I have not been in any trouble since then. Does anyone know a time frame for how long it will take for the board to review my application after I take the nclex? I live in Macon so I drove up to the board and talked to someone there and they said it wouldn't be reviewed until they had my nclex results. I'm only worried that if I take it in the beginning of June and pass that I will be waiting for months for them to review and grant me a license. Anyone else gone through the process recently and can speak on it? I've read a bunch of stuff but it's all from several years ago. Is it likely that I will even be granted a license?

Kinda going through the same thing. My expunged was from 2011… 11 years ago. I know this is an old post. But how long did it take you to get your ATT and for the board to review your case ??

Hello I have similar story as yours. I have a misdomenor traffic violation that is 15 years old. I registered and paid all my fee on 12/19/22. Can you tell me how long your process took? I submitted the court documents and a letter of explanation.

It only took me about three weeks to get my ATT ! It wasn’t a problem at all!
