time management tips for a new nurse

Published

Hello

I am a new nurse and Im always assigned to ten patients every shift. Our meds both oral and IV are found at bedside. What is frustrating is that my change of shift rounds takes two hours because of assessment and giving meds. Aside from that what is charting on the go?

Would I bring my nurses notes from the while I am seeing my patients and document my findings? Guys do you have any time management tips base on my situation? Thank you

The principle is "moar nursing, less talking." Which means delegating as you're allowed to and doing your assessments moar effectively. All interactions with your patients will have objective value.
